Biography

George Markoutsas, a Chicago native, developed a deep appreciation for architecture early on, having grown up surrounded by the stunning homes and buildings of the North Shore. While pursuing a degree in Public Administration, he realized that his true calling lay in the world of design and construction, and he swiftly pivoted to a major that more closely aligned with his passion and creativity. George’s love for architecture was further solidified during his time as an intern at the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust, where he contributed to the restoration of the iconic Robie House.

As a dynamic and driven leader, George has a proven track record of spearheading multi-disciplinary teams to achieve exceptional results in all aspects of business. He is fueled by a genuine passion for enhancing the built environment and is committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for his clients and colleagues.

In addition to his professional work, George serves as an elected official as Alderman for the City of Highwood, where he is dedicated to supporting local businesses and fostering a vibrant, connected community.

George earned his AAS from Roosevelt University and his BA from Barat College of DePaul University.
