We moved into our home in 2005. Ablaze, ABL at the time, built us a 2 car garage and you can’t tell from street view that it wasn’t part of the original home. The also redid the existing one car garage as an art studio, installing big skylights that let the light in. The garage is so well built that we could live in it. They were the most reliable, considerate and efficient team. We can’t say enough about how wonderful they are.We have called upon them for various things unrelated to the garage and they are respect, timely and excellent.You can trust George and his team with any project.

Such a great experience from start to finish. Howard and his team did an AMAZING job painting our preschool. As you can imagine, the walls at the school take a lot of wear and tear and after his team was finished, it was as if it was BRAND new. They were also able to work with both our timeline and around school hours. Will definitely work with ABL again on our next project.

ABL Group does amazing work! I have used them for a couple of different jobs. They are very professional. Howard arrived on site both times, to discuss what work they would do and the time frame it generally would take. On the actual day the crew came out, they were very efficient with the work that they did. They cleaned up after they were all finished. The price for the different jobs I had them do was very reasonable. I’d recommend them to anyone that needs some carpentry work or painting done. I plan on using their services again when a new project arises.

Wallpaper/Paint/Electrical - 2016 and 2019. I had priced getting the various jobs done through my own contacts and referrals. I struggled with getting the work done in a timely and orderly manner and ABL solved this problem by getting the right contracts in place so it was a seamless job. I found their pricing to be competitive too without having the manage the process. They have fantastic professionals, very neat and competent. I have since had some paint and patch work done on my ceilings and moldings and some additional electrical work and again, was very impressed with the quality of work and the price. Painting 3 bedrooms & closets, kitchen, 1 1/2 baths, linen closet, coat closet; repairing & painting family room; performing carpentry & painting outside shed; staining front doorWe are thoroughly happy with the quality of their work and recommend ABL Group for painting and handyman work. We hired ABL Group because it was highly rated by Angie List members, has verifiable worker’s and liability insurance, an up-to-date verifiable EPA lead paint certification , 5 year warranty (labor and materials), and a good price. We received estimates from 5 companies.Our ranch style home was built in 1962 so it was important that we hire a painting company with EPA lead paint certification. In my presence ABL tested each room to be painted for lead, thankfully none were found. We expected above average preparation of the walls and ceilings, repairing many wall and ceiling cracks and blemishes, patching unused picture and curtain rod holes.Howard Lipsky, the owner, came to our home to give an estimate. He was friendly, knowledgeable, listened to our requirements, and made suggestions. We gave him a printed list of our requirements. His proposal was the most detailed of the 5 companies’ proposals we received. We knew exactly what we would get when we signed the proposal. Howard visited again to give us a complimentary color consultation, suggesting paint types, sheens and colors for the rooms and shed.Inside the house, workers prepared the walls and ceilings, protecting the floors, furniture, cabinets with plastic tarps and cloths, removing electric outlet and light switch plates, scraping loose paint, repairing cracks and holes, caulking, applying primer over bare surfaces, cleaning areas daily. They applied two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal paint. They caulked top of backsplashes in bathrooms and kitchen. A worker lightly sanded front door and applied 2 coats of Zar Ultra stain. The workers came early, worked hard and put in a full day of work in order to meet the schedule in the proposal.Pleased with the painting project in progress, we entered into another contract with ABL for the family room, fixing water leak damage to one wood paneled wall and adjoining ceiling. ABL took off wood paneling, removed all plaster on the wall, plastered wall, patched ceiling, applied coat of primer paint, and painted 2 Benjamin Moore coats on all walls and ceiling.In the backyard, workers worked on the shed, replacing rotten wood trim on the outer sides, replacing one door, prepping the surface, adding new wood trim boards around bottom of all sides, painting primer on new wood, applying 2 coats of Benjamin Moore paint.On the last day of the project I was impressed that Billy, the project supervisor, told us not to hesitate to contact him to fix any painting imperfections that we may discover later. A few weeks later I called Billy to send someone to take care of some issues. The touchup work was done expertly, the small repainted areas blending invisibly with the surrounding painted wall.We can attest that ABL lives up to its warranty. About 3 months after the project was over, some hairline cracks appeared. I called ABL and within days a worker came to fix the problem to our satisfaction.

We have had great experience working with George. We did a brand new kitchen in our remodel. The cabinets are fabulous. Any questions we had were answered quickly. We have an end panel that was looking a but plain after the kitchen was done and George came over to the house and provided suggestions for improvement. The ABL group then hand delivered the moldings that we are using to improve the appearance of the end panel.

Amazing! We have had no improvements to our home since we moved in 13.5 years ago and the house was definitely showing wear & tear. Howard, owner, came out initially to go over everything we wanted and provide a quote. I had originally wanted to have wainscoting installed. Howard pointed out that with the amount of furniture we had, we might want to go with just a chair rail and white paint below as the wainscoting would be mostly hidden and not worth the money. I appreciated that insight and did go without the wainscoting, which was the right decision in the end. Point being, he will give you honest opinions on the work you are requesting. He also has a very experienced eye and will point out things that should be repaired. Once we signed the contract, Howard had a design consultant come out to help us pick paint colors and design the built ins we wanted. This was really nice to have some guidance in this area instead of just winging it. Howard was accommodating as well with the timing of the work as we wanted to have most of it completed while our child was away at camp. He got his crew in there and they finished 95% of the work in the 2 week window that my son was out of town. The employees were all very professional, prompt, neat, and friendly. The quality of the completed work is top of the line. I can't begin to say how incredibly pleased I am with the end result. I feel as though I live in a brand new house!Description of work:First floor - repair large hole & water damage in ceiling; repaint ceiling, walls & baseboards; install crown molding and chairrail. Build & install 2 custom builtin bookcases. Second floor - replace carpet; repaint ceiling, walls, woodwork. Outside - replace entry door to garage; replace boards/steps/posts on deck which had rotted; paint front door; install gutter on garage Other various handyman items as well.
